Molly's Succulent Mix named Top New Item at Gro Group's 2025 New Product Showcase
Distributor merchandise teams across Gro Group voted the gritty succulent mix the top new item, with Molly's Orchid Mix also in the top ten.
In May 2025, Gro Group named Molly's Succulent Mix the Top New Item in its annual New Product Showcase. Gro Group is a buying group of independent lawn and garden distributors across the United States; its distributor merchandise teams score every product submitted for the showcase, and Molly's Succulent Mix received the most votes. Molly's Orchid Mix also placed in the top ten.
The top ten items were presented to Gro Group's board and to its distributor members at the group's Kick-Off in Grapevine, Texas, in June 2025. Veryplants was in its first year as a Gro Group vendor member.
Molly's Succulent Mix is a gritty, soil-free mix of pumice, lava rock, and other mineral components with very little organic matter, built for succulents, cacti, and bonsai grown in containers.
"Distributor buyers see hundreds of bagged goods a year and most of them look the same on a shelf. They voted for the succulent mix because you can see what is in it through the bag, and it does not look like anything else in the aisle," said Jordan Socran, co-founder and Chief Commercial Officer.
Veryplants asked Gro Group to donate the showcase prize to a charity of the group's choosing.
