We sell direct on our own site, Amazon, and Etsy, and into retailers and distributors through wholesale and Faire. We're a lean team in a fast-growth phase, building the brand for its next stage.
The role. A seasoned marketing leader to act as our fractional CMO: set the strategy, then make sure it's executed. You'll own direction across paid, brand, retention, and lifecycle, and direct and mentor our incoming Performance Marketing Manager. Hands-on-strategic, small team, real ownership.
What you'll do
- Own the marketing strategy and channel plan across DTC and support the wholesale brand.
- Direct and mentor the Performance Marketing Manager; set targets and review performance.
- Build the testing roadmap, KPI dashboard, and a real weekly cadence with the founders.
- Sharpen brand positioning for Veryplants and help shape the product roadmap.
What we're looking for
- Prior CMO or VP Marketing experience at a DTC / CPG brand you helped scale.
- Strong on paid efficiency, retention, and brand; fluent translating data into decisions.
- Comfortable being hands-on-strategic with a lean team. Fractional / portfolio operators welcome.

The role. Our first dedicated Performance Marketing Manager, owning paid and lifecycle execution across every channel. You'll work directly with our fractional CMO on strategy and own the day-to-day: the campaigns, the numbers, and the testing.
What you'll do
- Plan, launch, and optimize paid campaigns across Meta, Google, and Amazon against clear ROAS / CAC targets.
- Own email and SMS lifecycle in Klaviyo: flows, campaigns, segmentation, revenue per recipient.
- Run a disciplined testing calendar and report results weekly in plain language.
- Help supervise and improve our AI-assisted Amazon PPC.
- Watch blended CAC, contribution margin, and channel mix, and tell us what to do about them.
What we're looking for
- 3+ years in performance / growth marketing for an ecommerce or DTC brand, with hands-on ownership of ad accounts.
- Fluent in Meta and Google Ads; comfortable in Amazon Advertising; strong in Klaviyo or a comparable ESP.
- Genuinely analytical and self-directed; you thrive without a big team around you.
- Bonus: CPG, Amazon Seller Central, Shopify, retention / subscription marketing.
Compensation
- $65,000 to $85,000 base + performance bonus up to 15%.
- Fully remote and flexible hours; direct line to the founders and CMO.
A farmer role, not a cold-calling one: own a book of 140+ retail accounts and grow their reorders.
About us. Alongside our direct business, Veryplants sells its mixes into independent garden centers, plant shops, and boutique retailers through wholesale and Faire. That retail base is growing, and we want someone whose whole job is to grow it deeper.
The role. A farmer role, not a cold-calling role. You'll own a book of 140+ existing retail accounts and be measured above all on getting them to reorder, more often and in bigger baskets. Our new-business team opens the doors; you make the accounts grow.
What you'll do
- Own a book of 140+ wholesale accounts and grow reorder rate per account.
- Run a proactive reorder cadence, reach out before they run out.
- Upsell and cross-sell new and seasonal SKUs into existing accounts.
- Be the first responder for account questions; pull in ops when a shipment issue threatens the relationship.
- Carry a quarterly reorder quota and earn uncapped commission when you beat it.
What we're looking for
- 2+ years in B2B / wholesale account management, inside sales, or customer success, ideally repeat-purchase products.
- Relationship-driven and organized; comfortable carrying a quota and motivated by commission.
- Bonus: garden, horticulture, plant, or CPG background; Faire; NetSuite.
Compensation
- $40,000 to $58,000 base + uncapped commission. OTE $70,000 to $85,000, no ceiling for top performers.
- Fully remote and flexible hours; a warm book of accounts from day one.
Own and grow our highest-margin distributor and retail channels, getting Veryplants onto more shelves and selling through.
About us. Veryplants' distributor and retail channels are the highest-margin, most defensible part of the business, and where we see the most runway. We want a dedicated owner to grow them.
The role. Own and grow our distributor and larger-retail channels, getting Veryplants onto more shelves and making it sell through once it's there. You'll build distributor relationships, win mindshare with category managers and field reps, and open new distribution.
What you'll do
- Own distributor relationships end to end; drive sell-in and, more importantly, sell-through and reorders.
- Win mindshare with distributor category managers and field sales reps via training, incentives, and merchandising.
- Identify and open new distributors and larger retail / garden-center chains.
- Partner with the wholesale account team on retail penetration and with ops on fulfillment and SLAs.
- Own your channel's sell-through and report on it clearly.
What we're looking for
- 3+ years managing distributor and/or retail channels for a consumer / CPG product.
- A track record launching a product line through distribution and securing category-manager mindshare.
- Understands sell-in vs sell-through and how to move both.
- Bonus: lawn-and-garden / horticulture distribution, big-box or regional chains.
Compensation
- $70,000 to $90,000 base + performance bonus (OTE up to ~$105,000).
- Fully remote and flexible hours; a defensible, high-margin channel to build and own.
